Six Ways to Grow in Your Relationship With The Lord |

You have just begun a new life in Jesus Christ. God's Word declares that you are a new creation in Christ, all the old things have passed away, behold all things, are new. To grow in this new relationship with Jesus Christ here are some steps you should follow.
- Read your Bible
Might I suggest starting in the book of John in the New Testament and reading through to the last book in the New Testament? The Bible is the instructional manual for God's Kids. Seek it, read it, live it, wear it out!
- Pray everyday
This is simply talking to God as you would your friend. God desires to be your best friend that will never leave you nor forsake you.
- Look for a church
Jesus established the church so you could enjoy the sweet fellowship with other believers. But not just any church. Find a church where Jesus Christ is preached and the Bible is the only authority. There are no other substitutes.
- Obey God's word
A true believer will hear God's word and act upon it. The true mark of a Born Again Christian is a changed life.
- Share your faith
Let someone know what you have done and tell them about the truth that you have discovered in Jesus Christ. The Bible declares that the truth will set you free. Even as it has set you free, use it to set others free as well.
- Live by His power
The Christian lifestyle is impossible for you to live out in your own strength. Admit to God that you can't and tell Him that you believe that He can as He pours out His Holy Spirit upon you. The Holy Spirit in your life empowers you to be all that you can be in God's family.
